The Football Team AZ BAKU was founded in 2010 by Azerbaijanis living in Brussels. The team has gathered Belgium-based Azerbaijanis, who are interested in football. Their main aim is to play football, to find new acquaintances, to take part in various competitions and to represent our country. Since the day of foundation, the team has been competing as AZ BAKU in HEBE League Brussels, as Azerbaijan in NATO tournaments, under either of the names in friendlies. The team holds trainings during non-competition periods. Thanks to the sponsorship of the Brussels-based Azerbaijan Communication Office (OCAZ), AZ BAKU has successfully represented Azerbaijan in several tournaments. Simultaneously, AZ BAKU goes beyond football by becoming a platform that assembles the Azerbaijani intelligentsia in Belgium.
